For 5 years in the early 90’s I ran a free treatment program for anyone with HIV. I spent time in the county homes in Florida learning to care for those who felt hopeless and abandoned. Over the course of my 40 years in clinical practice I have worked with many patients in various stages of the dying process.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e     \u003c\/span\u003eIn this class we’ll take a deep dive into working with the dying. I’ll present the gross and subtle dimensions of Chinese physiology in relationship to the dying process. We’ll consider the distinction between those who are still fighting to live, those ready to let go, and implications for treatment. I’ll present the physiology of the upper kidney points and discuss mechanisms by which the same points can both promote conception, rebirth, or letting go in the dying process depending on context. We will consider the pulse and how it transitions in the process of dying.
